unlike the winner (which is no doubt very good, but unfortunately doesn't arouse the same emotions), this one really feels number 1! so sorry it hasn't won(
i'm not so good at all the tiny shades of meaning and suchlike stuff, but the thing is that this work captures attention at once and doesn't let you pass it by. if it were for me, i would certainly give it 1st prize)

Ah, you totally deserve being in the semi-finals. And in the final final round, if you ask me. This is really stunning, convincing with its simple yet meaningful design. Great idea, man :)
